“Beauty happens whenever your soul truth is expressed.”

—Aviva Gold

Intuition Painting® is not about technique or making something beautiful. It's about bypassing the inner critic, following your instincts, and discovering what wants to emerge from deep within when you stop trying to control the outcome.

Intuition Painting® is a journey into your inner world. A guided creative process that uses spontaneous painting, meditation, and inner reflection to help you access what's already living inside you — your instincts, your emotions, your unlived stories.

You won't be taught technique or told what to paint. Instead you'll be guided to listen inward, follow what feels alive, and let the canvas become a mirror for your inner world. Through a six-phase process weaving together meditation with spontaneous painting, you'll move beyond what your thinking mind wants to control and into something much.

What shows up on the canvas often has very little to do with art and everything to do with you. People leave with unexpected clarity, a sense of release, and sometimes something that feels quietly like transformation.

It's not something I can fully explain. It's something you have to experience.

What Is Intuition Painting?

What to Expect

In a typical two-day Intuition Painting® workshop we'll move through the full six-phase process together in a supported, judgement-free space. Each day weaves together guided meditations and spontaneous painting — building on the previous session so that each layer of your canvas reveals something new.

In person workshops are held at The Be Sanctuary in Upper Arlington, Ohio and occasionally other locations. All supplies are provided — just bring yourself.

Virtual workshops will be coming soon, allowing you to experience the full process from your own creative space at home.

“I was a little worried about painting for two full days. In reality, the workshop was broken into manageable segments, which made it feel much more approachable.

I began in my usual tight, controlled painting style. As I worked through Susan's guidance and trusted the process, I found myself painting with larger, more fluid forms and even adding pages to let the painting expand. It moved me beyond my usual timid, tightly controlled way of working.

"I loved what the painting seemed to communicate to me—an energy source and the effervescence of life. One section, however, startled me. As I painted, a long-seated and buried scar emerged. It was uncomfortable to look at while I was working, yet I stayed with it until the painting felt complete.

"I'm going to return to the painting later to see whether that startling section has transformed. During the session, I could see it in two different ways, depending on how I looked at it. I'm curious to discover whether time and distance will reveal something new.

"I highly recommend this workshop!  ” —Lisa F. (June 2026)
