There is something about the quiet of January that invites us inward. The busyness of the holidays has passed, the new year stretches ahead, and something in us knows — this is the moment to pause, reflect, and choose intentionally what we want to carry forward.
Sacred Beginnings is a five-day women's retreat nestled in the rolling hills of Hocking Hills, Ohio, designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and step into the new year with clarity, creativity, and intention.
What Awaits You
We'll gather at The Sculptor's Art Lodge at Raven’s Retreat — a beautiful, self-contained retreat center surrounded by the natural beauty of southeastern Ohio — with the entire property to ourselves. Think cozy common spaces, a sauna, hot tub, fire pit, and six private bedrooms, all wrapped in the stillness of winter in the hills.
Each day will weave together:
Gentle yoga and guided meditation to ground and open the body.
Intentional creativity sessions using the Intuition Painting® process to access your inner wisdom and express yourself freely — no painting experience necessary.
Group sharing circles for reflection and connection.
Evening practices including Yin Yoga infused with Reiki and Yoga Nidra for deep rest and integration
Delicious, nourishing plant-based meals lovingly prepared fresh each day so you can be fully present.
And there will be plenty of time to simply be. Hike the trails, soak in the hot tub, curl up with a journal, enjoy meaningful conversation, or unwind by the fire.
Every offering is an invitation, not an obligation. You're encouraged to follow your own rhythm — show up fully, rest when you need to, and trust that whatever you choose will be exactly right.
The Heart of Our Work Together
Rather than focusing on creating "perfect" art, our intentional creativity practice is about exploration, self-discovery, and learning to trust your intuition. We'll use the canvas as a mirror — examining what's been holding us back and envisioning what wants to show up in the new year.
Throughout our time together, themes of letting go, listening inward, embodiment, creativity, and renewal will weave through every practice and conversation. You'll leave feeling grounded, inspired, creatively awakened, and more deeply connected to yourself and the path unfolding ahead.
This Retreat Is For You If:
You're craving a real pause — not just a weekend away, but a genuine reset. You're ready to release what no longer serves you and create space for what is longing to emerge. You want to move your body, quiet your mind, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom. You're curious about intuitive creativity but don't consider yourself an artist. Or you simply feel called to begin the new year in community with other women doing the same.
All levels of yoga and artistic experience welcome. Come exactly as you are.
A Taste of Our Days Together
Thursday — Arrival & Opening
Settle in, get comfortable, and meet your fellow travelers. We'll gather for an opening circle before sharing our first dinner together, followed by Yin Yoga infused with Reiki. There will be time in the evening for activities such as board games, sauna, conversation.
Friday & Saturday — Going Inward
Mornings begin with gentle yoga to open the body and quiet the mind. Painting sessions guide us through releasing what we're ready to leave behind and beginning to envision what we want to call in. Afternoons are free for hiking, resting, soaking in the hot tub, or simply being — with one afternoon painting session woven in to deepen our creative journey. Evenings gather us back together for dinner, reflection, and restorative practice.
Sunday — Deepening
We continue our painting journey, moving deeper into intention and vision for the year ahead. A free afternoon to rest and integrate before we reconvene for dinner.
Monday — Closing & Integration
We close as we began — together. A final morning of gentle movement, embodiment practice, and a closing circle before lunch and our journey home.
Each day is an invitation, not an obligation. Follow your own rhythm.
